The Counseling Services Center offers a new RIO (Recognition, Insight and Openness) workshop series that can help students gain more insight into their internal emotional experiences, and tools and strategies that help students to handle painful thoughts and feelings effectively.
RIO is a three-session workshop where students commit to coming to each session.

Oswego County Health Department to host COVID-19 vaccine clinics every Wednesday

The Oswego County Health Department will be hosting COVID-19 vaccine clinics every Wednesday in September and October for the Oswego community, including SUNY Oswego students, faculty and staff.  Appointments are appreciated but walk-ins are welcome.  This week’s COVID clinic vaccines will be held on Sept. 29 and will include: FDA-approved Pfizer,  the Moderna vaccine and the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

1861 Giving Challenge is under way

The 1861 challenge started at 8 a.m. this morning. Al Roker ‘76 is challenging the entire Oswego community to help students by making a gift to The Fund for Oswego. If 861 people make a gift in 1,861 minutes, he will give the college $50,000.

Gifts to The Fund for Oswego help support student opportunities. You can choose to designate your gift to support a department, program or special interest at the college, or where the need is greatest. It’s all up to you.

Oswego's Syracuse Campus students awarded Visions Federal Credit Union Scholarships

Visions Federal Credit Union (VFCU) created a scholarship for SUNY Oswego part-time, non-traditional/adult learner students enrolled at our Syracuse Campus.

The scholarship, awarded each semester to two deserving students, provides financial support to empower, motivate and encourage them to continue on their path to earn their bachelor’s degrees.

Writing Fellows program offers support to faculty and staff

Writing Fellows are experienced teachers of academic writing who support SUNY Oswego’s Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) initiative.

WAC is designed to ensure that students have frequent opportunities to write and revise in their classes from their first year to graduation. The Writing Fellows program was established to help enhance the culture of writing on campus and assist instructors in courses that feature written work in a variety of ways.
