Grants available to support student presentations in conferences, exhibits, performances

Grants are available to support student participation in virtual presentations at conferences, exhibits or performances for the 2020-2021 academic year, via the college's Research and Individualized Student Experiences (RISE) Office, supported by the Provost's Office. Students presenting their work will receive preference. 

College announces partnership for employees seeking doctorates in education

SUNY Oswego has announced a partnership with St. John Fisher College under the Community Education Partner Program. As a partner, Oswego employees who are accepted are potentially eligible for a 20 percent discount for the entire doctorate in education (Ed.D.) program as well as the online library media program.

New undergraduate-run digital literary publication, Subnivean, launches

It’s not common for an undergraduate student to work on a literary magazine that includes submissions from a former U.S. poet laureate and other award winners, but that, Soma Mei Sheng Frazier said, is the beauty of the new offering called Subnivean.

SUNY Oswego website refreshed over break

Over the winter break, SUNY Oswego launched a refreshed homepage and website template, aiming to help bring new members to the Oswego family while servicing the existing campus community. 

The new template design was the result of months of user research, peer analysis and testing. This template features a new navigation to support the prospective student experience by helping them explore topics important to their journey while showcasing all that SUNY Oswego has to offer. 

Virtual SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference set for April

The SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) brings together undergraduate student researchers and faculty mentors from across the SUNY system on April 16 for a full virtual day of multidisciplinary activities, including sessions devoted to student presentations (oral, performance, artistic displays and poster), luncheon with keynote speaker(s), a SUNY Transfer, Graduate School and Career Fair, and professional development workshops for students and for faculty.

Rice Creek Associates Small Grants: 2021 Call for Proposals

Rice Creek Associates announces its 2021 call for proposals for projects oriented towards natural sciences and social sciences, physics, atmospheric and geological sciences, arts, communication, education and service, among other topics.

Eligibility:
To be eligible, a significant portion of the project should be done at Rice Creek Field Station (RCFS). Special consideration will be given to projects that strengthen the RCFS mission. Proposals that further inter-departmental and external partnerships will be given priority.
