Scholarship application process for 2019-2020 opening soon

The Oswego College Foundation and Oswego Alumni Association provide more than 450 students with donor-funded scholarships, totaling more than $1 million every year. Current students are eligible to apply for many of these opportunities. The application process for next academic year's scholarships will open on Jan. 1 (with most deadlines being Feb. 5). 

Fundraising continues for Puerto Rico project connected to Fresh Water for All

An ongoing sale of water bottles, a chance to win a 43-inch Smart TV and an opportunity to win Oswego apparel are supporting an Alternative Spring Break trip and project to make fresh water available to residents in Puerto Rico still rebuilding from hurricanes in 2017.

December graduates ready to continue journey

More than 500 students were eligible to take part in SUNY Oswego’s December Commencement, finding skills, strengths and direction to prepare them for their next steps.

President Stanley to host student and faculty drop-ins today

President Deborah F. Stanley will host the semester's last installments today (Dec. 6) for her regular informal drop-ins -- with one session for students, another for faculty members.

Drop-in meetings with students will take place today from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center food and activity court. All students are encouraged to drop in, say hello to President Stanley, ask a question or discuss a topic important to them.

National Day of Mourning to honor President George H.W. Bush; USPS will suspend deliveries

The country will observe a National Day of Mourning today, honoring the 41st president George H.W. Bush, who died this past Friday, Nov. 30.

Out of respect for the 41st President of the United States and to honor his vast contributions to our country during his lifetime, and consistent with the Presidential Proclamation, the United States Postal Service will suspend regular mail deliveries, retail services and administrative office activity on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

This is a friendly reminder to mark your calendars for Quest 2019 and make plans to join us next semester for an all-day campus-wide celebration of scholarly and creative pursuits of students, faculty and staff. And don't forget about the Quest kick-off event at our Syracuse campus the evening before, April 2, 2019 at 5 p.m.
