Reminder: Google storage quotas coming in early 2025

Since the original partnership, SUNY Oswego has been enjoying the unlimited storage Google has provided to higher education institutions at no cost. Users have been archiving emails in Gmail, creating, communicating and collaborating in Google Drive, and storing photos in the Photos app without too much concern about space.

Thought-provoking ‘Laramie Project’ to open SUNY Oswego theatre season

The SUNY Oswego Theatre department will present “The Laramie Project,” the true and tragic story of a boy who was targeted for being a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, on the Waterman Theatre stage Oct. 16 to 20.

Hazing Prevention Week activities scheduled

The campus community is invited to join the Dean of Students Office, Student Engagement and Leadership, Campus Recreation and Auxiliary Services for Hazing Prevention Week which runs from Oct. 14 to 18.

Organizers encourage you to stop by their table on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday to take the pledge against hazing and leave your handprint on our banner. Those who drop by Monday will also receive a free donut.

Citrix virtual apps maintenance scheduled for Oct. 10

On Thursday, Oct. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., Campus Technology Services (CTS) will perform maintenance affecting the Citrix virtual apps on Mac and PCs in the labs and Advanced Technology Classrooms (ATCs). This will not affect Citrix virtual app access on employee and personal computers on or off campus. During this time, users may receive a certificate error when accessing Citrix virtual apps in the computer labs and ATCs.

Phishing attacks continue to be a serious threat, and one of the most common forms targets users through deceptive emails and text messages. Here’s how you can spot phishing attempts:

Renovations happening on Marano food and activity court

Over the next several weeks, the food and activity court (lower level) in the Marano Campus Center will undergo renovations as the university transforms the space to better meet the needs of SUNY Oswego and its students. The space will remain open during this time.

Panels on the business of motorsports happening today

October 7, 2024

A series of panels and events on the business of motorsports, connecting to Oswego Speedway hosting Super Dirt Week this week, will take place today in 115 Park Hall, sponsored by the SUNY Oswego Department of Technology.

Titled "Start Your Engines: Learn the Business of Motorsports: How Your Degree Can Spark a Career in Motorsports," the event is free and open to the campus community.

Campus VPN maintenance scheduled for Oct. 9

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, from 10 to 10:30 a.m., Campus Technology Services (CTS) will perform maintenance affecting the remote access VPN. During this time, remote access VPN users may receive a certificate error when accessing on-campus services from off-campus.

Obi hails Nwosu on becoming first black SUNY Oswego president

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 General election in Nigeria, Peter Obi, has congratulated Dr. Peter O. Nwosu on becoming the 11th and first Black President of the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego, United States.
