Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Grant winners announced

The spring 2024 round of the Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Grant application/review process has concluded, with five proposals approved for a combined total of more $4,700 in funding. 

Members of the Student Subcommittee of the Scholarly and Creative Activity Committee reviewed all the proposals and ultimately approved the following for funding via Provost Scott Furlong:

1. Title: "Positivity Through Art; 2D Mural Project"
Students: Dan Rafferty and Miranda Smith
Faculty Mentor: Cynthia Clabough, Art and Design

Two professional writing workshops set for early April

The Office of Learning Services and the Writing Fellows Program will offer two professional writing workshops during the first week of April.

On Monday, April 1, attendees will learn more about writing professional emails to employers or professors. This workshop will be held in room 215 of Penfield Library from 1:50 to 2:45 p.m.

A session on Thursday, April 4 will discuss how to write letters for jobs or internships students are interested in. This workshop will be held in room 215 of Penfield Library from 2:20 to 3:15 p.m.

The student-run Rich 'N' Pour cafe, based in Rich Hall, has recently begun offering catering services.

Rich 'N' Pour offers small bites like bagels, sandwiches, muffins, cookies and a wide variety of drink options from coffee, teas and lemonades for small events and gatherings. The cafe has catered events like Mock Interview Palooza, alumni networking events and more.
