The Office of International Education and Programs invites proposals for faculty-led programs abroad for the 2024-2025 academic year.

SUNY Oswego is a leader in innovative international education; faculty-led programs abroad are an engaging high-impact practice that opens the doors of accessibility for many SUNY Oswego students who otherwise would not have the opportunity. The university welcomes all faculty proposals with particular needs for new and repeat programs to the UK/Ireland, France and Spain.

Outstanding student nominations now open for Grad Studies award

The Division of Graduate Studies is accepting nominations from faculty and staff for the 2023-2024 Outstanding Graduate Student Award. The recommended deadline for submissions is March 31.

This award recognizes exceptional students for their significant contributions and accomplishments to their field, program, SUNY Oswego and/or to the community. Graduate nominees must be enrolled in a master’s program or graduate certificate at the time of nomination.

50th Reunion prompts $50K challenge from alumnus

This spring marks 50 years since David Cutler ’74 and other members of the Class of 1974 graduated from SUNY Oswego. In recognition of this historic milestone, Cutler has issued a challenge to his classmates.

“If members of the Class of 1974 collectively give $50,000 to The Fund for Oswego by June 30, 2024, I will match it with an additional $50,000 and establish a special Class of 1974 Scholarship,” Cutler said.

March Matchness continues with goal of supporting students

As March Madness continues to thrill college basketball fans, SUNY Oswego Graduates Of the Last Decade (GOLD) alumni are invited to participate in March Matchness.

On March 1, Brad Bernstein ’89 and his wife, Liz, issued a challenge to SUNY Oswego GOLD (or members of SUNY Oswego classes of 2014 to 2023): If 200 of them make a gift during March, the Bernsteins will donate $40,000 to The Fund for Oswego.

Reduced Adobe Creative Cloud pricing available for SUNY students

SUNY has been working with Adobe to make the purchase of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite more affordable for all SUNY students. To this end, active students with a SUNY Oswego email address can purchase an annual subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud for $75 plus tax.

Inaugural Women’s Empowerment Summit set March 26

SUNY Oswego’s first-ever Women’s Empowerment Summit will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, hosted by Career Services. 

The event will feature a variety of panels and workshops, all concluding with a catered networking event for students to mingle with panelists and members of the Oswego campus community. This free event has a menu planned from Auxiliary Services and a distinguished lineup of panelists to network with. 

Panel presentation to explore Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

A faculty panel will discuss "Making Sense of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict" at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, in 104 Lanigan Hall.

Faculty panelists will include:

  • Jason Zenor, Communication Studies
  • Murat Yasar, History
