Observing International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month

Today is International Women’s Day which falls into March’s Women’s History Month. Did you know that Women’s History Month has a theme? It is Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

Before it was Women’s History Month, Women’s History Week was celebrated first during the week beginning March 7, 1982, with Congressional approval through Pub. L. 97-28 in 1981. 

LakerPrint maintenance scheduled for March 13

On Wednesday, March 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Campus Technology Services (CTS) will perform maintenance on LakerPrint servers used for student printing. During this time, LakerPrint will be intermittently unavailable for everyone.

NIH-supported project seeks better ways to maintain vaccines

A faculty-led project in a Shineman Center chemistry laboratory seeks to unlock a better way to maintain vaccines (including COVID-19 vaccines) against other current or future viruses.

Here is closing information for some key resources over Spring Break (March 9 to 17):

Residence Life and Housing

Residence halls will close at 10 a.m. on March 9 and reopen at noon on March 17.  

The Point

The Point will close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 8, and will be closed the weekends prior to and after Spring Break. During the break, The Point will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with regular hours resuming on Monday, March 18.

EAP to host salad bowl luncheons
