Registration is open for the virtual SUNY SPECTRUM conference, June 28 to July 2. It is the nation’s largest education conference devoted to preventing and responding to sexual and interpersonal violence against members of the LGBTQI+ community.

College promotes Daylight Hour on June 18

SUNY Oswego will join many other SUNY campuses and hundreds of organizations around the world on Friday, June 18, in an annual campaign to raise awareness of the value of simple daylight to save energy and improve health. 

Members of the college community are asked to switch off lights in day-lit offices, even if in home offices, for one hour at noon on June 18.

Leadership Oswego County recruiting Class of 2022

Leadership Oswego County (LOC), a SUNY Oswego-administered, business-sponsored program that empowers area individuals to become community leaders, is recruiting for its hybrid Class of 2022.

The annual leadership development program prepares a select group of county residents to become the community stewards of the future. This group embarks on a nine-month course on Oswego County and its resources, vital issues of today and visioning for tomorrow.

Oswego Today to run Wednesdays through summer

Oswego Today will continue informing the campus community every Wednesday morning throughout the summer, with exceptions for when it is replaced by Campus Update (such as on May 26).

Members of the campus community are still welcome to submit announcements online for items of college-wide interest, with a deadline of noon on Mondays preceding Oswego Today publication dates. 

Auxiliary Services to host barn sale clearance on Saturday

The college's Auxiliary Services will clearance surplus inventory while offering deals to the campus community in a public sale at Fallbrook Barn from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 22.

Sets of dishes, decorative containers, a variety of fixtures and much more will be priced to go at the sale. Items will be sold for cash only and must be picked up at the time of sale.

Updates on Juneteenth, July 4 holidays

Juneteenth was added as an annual state holiday by executive order in 2020, to be observed on June 19.

The college has been advised by the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations that another day will not be designated as an observed holiday by state employees in lieu of June 19, 2021.

County to host J&J Vaccine Clinic May 15 at Fulton High School

The Oswego County Health Department will host a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, May 15, at the Fulton High School (6 William Gillard Dr in Fulton). Appointments are available for individuals 18 years or older.*

This clinic will feature the Janssen/Johnson and Johnson Vaccine (which only requires one shot only).
