Campus server hosting personal websites to be decommissioned June 1

Campus Technology Services (CTS) will decommission the “Rocky” server on June 1 at 7 a.m. The server's primary service of hosting personal websites has seen less usage as more modern, alternative technologies have become available.   

Oswego County foster care supply drive happening on campus

The Leadership Oswego County Class of 2021 is collecting supplies for the foster care children of Oswego County.

COVID-19 has tremendously depleted the storeroom of items provided to children going into foster homes. Members of the campus community are asked to consider donating any of the following items:

In-person campus tours to resume for admitted students

March 30, 2021

SUNY Oswego will soon be resuming limited in-person tours for admitted students and their families to visit our campus. Tours will be limited to small groups designed for a family or a maximum of 10 people, and will require pre-registration/approval and health screening for all visitors. All CDC COVID-19 requirements and New York State health and safety guidelines must be followed. Walk-in visitors will not be allowed at this time.

Friday workshop to delineate between opinion and analysis

Writing Fellow Amanda Trainham will present "Rationalization: The Difference Between Opinion and Analysis" at 3 p.m., Friday, April 9 as part of the college's Write Ways Series.

If you have ever found yourself wondering whether you are analyzing something or just offering your opinion, you are not alone. This workshop will discuss the difference between offering an opinion and turning that into analysis. Participants will also work together to differentiate between opinions and analysis, and work on how to turn opinions into analysis.

Faculty-Student Challenge Grants awarded for spring

The Spring 2021 round of the Faculty-Student Challenge Grant applications funded seven proposals for a total of nearly $27,000 awarded among them.

These proposals that were recommended for funding by members of the Scholarly and Creative Activity Committee and ultimately approved for funding by Provost Scott Furlong.

Oswego's MBA HSA program discussed in broadcast

SUNY Oswego's unique master of business administration-health services administration (MBA HSA) program found an audience last week as graduate coordinator Sarah Bonzo and current student Tara Mathews discussed the job field, Oswego's program and more live on K-Rock.
