Saturday system updates may impact some network services

Campus Technology Services will perform updates to several systems on Saturday, Feb. 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. During that time, many of our services will be intermittently unavailable. Some of the affected services include:

National Panhellenic Conference preps for new virtual recruitment next week

This semester, the SUNY Oswego National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) will host their first ever virtual formal recruitment, which starts in earnest next week. 

The SUNY Oswego NPC is a governing body that is responsible for establishing unity and fostering friendships between all five of the national sororities here on campus. These five sororities are Phi Sigma Sigma, Kappa Delta Phi nas, Sigma Delta Tau, Alpha Epsilon Phi and Delta Phi Epsilon.

Write Ways Series presents 'Professional Email Communication'

English and creative writing faculty member Stephanie Pritchard will present on "Professional Email Communication" from 3 to 4 p.m.
Friday, March 5, as part of the Write Ways Series.

This workshop will focus on greetings, content and etiquette while sending emails, both academically and professionally. The session will discuss the do’s and don’ts of appropriate form and style to help you successfully communicate with your professors, peers and potential employers.

Campus Recreation restarts in-person activities

Campus Recreation recently restarted in-person activities and friendly competition, with participants following all appropriate health protocols.

Activities, free and open to SUNY Oswego students, will take place within Swetman Gym in the Marano Campus Center.

"I am very excited that Swetman Gym is open and to provide the open recreation opportunities to our students in basketball shoot around, badminton and pickleball," said Sandra Keenan, assistant director of Campus Life - Campus Recreation.

Hosts Shannon France and Kyle Dzintars, two self-care and mental health enthusiasts, are on their podcast journey to spread awareness of common stressors faced by college students with the Self-Care Sundays series, available any day of the week to help.

Ambassadors sought for 'SUNY Oswego Admitted Student Zone'

On Feb. 17, the Office of Admissions and campus partners rolled out the "SUNY Oswego Admitted Student Zone," a new virtual platform where admitted and deposited students and their families can engage with each other and the SUNY Oswego community.

Hosted by a campus partner, Wisr, the platform launched following months of groundwork and coordination by Admissions and other departments.

Laker Leader applications available for New Student Orientation
