A pair of annual campus awards recognize outstanding teaching.

The Oswego Alumni Association will accept nominations for the 2021 Outstanding Senior Award coming this spring semester. This honor recognizes a senior student who has excelled in involvement on campus and academic excellence during his or her time at SUNY Oswego. All students graduating in 2021, including this May, August and December, are eligible to be nominated for this year’s award.

Each year SUNY Oswego recognizes the outstanding scholarly and creative activities that are conducted by our faculty.

The Scholarly and Creative Activity Committee recommends faculty members to the President and Provost who have been nominated for the following awards:

With the spring semester about to blossom, the college welcomes submissions for upcoming events via the Localist calendar system.

Event submissions are invited for any event (virtual or in-person) hosted by a campus office, department, program or student organization, for activities open for attendance by the campus community and/or general public.

SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras will deliver the 2021 State of the University System Address at noon today (Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021).

In response to an emphasis placed on online learning caused by COVID-19, Artswego created a new funding opportunity that encourages and supports virtual arts experiences (in physical and virtual classroom spaces) that enhance the cultural environment of the college and augment academic offerings.

"Discover Wellness: Find A Healthier You" will offer its virtual seven-week program this spring.

It runs once a week starting Monday, Feb. 22, and is free to all SUNY Oswego employees. This program focuses on stress reduction, healthy eating, increasing physical activity and improving overall quality of sleep. Participants will receive free weekly wellness reinforcements and strategies that will assist them in making a behavior change that will aid in increasing their overall quality of life.

Penfield Library's Display To Archives will be a virtual event this year, with a celebration event scheduled for April 13 to recognize the scholarly and creative activities of SUNY Oswego faculty and professional staff.
