Oswego KidsTech registration now open

Children can receive the opportunity to explore the world of STEM through SUNY Oswego’s award-winning enrichment programs: STEM 4 Kids and Young Inventors.

STEM 4 Kids (grades K-3) and Young Inventors (grades 4-6) offer hands-on, engaging activities designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills. These programs, sponsored by National Grid, provide take-home learning materials so children can continue their STEM adventures beyond the classroom.

Google storage quotas coming in early 2025

Since the original partnership, SUNY Oswego has been enjoying the unlimited storage Google has provided to higher education institutions at no cost. Users have been archiving emails in Gmail, creating, communicating and collaborating in Google Drive, and storing photos in the Photos app without too much concern about space.

SHOP food pantry open for fall semester

The SHOP (Students Helping Oz Peers) pantry, located in 3 Penfield Library, is now open for the fall semester with these hours:

  • Mondays through Thursdays, 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Fridays, 1 to 5 p.m. 

Students in need of food, toiletries and professional and winter clothing can visit the SHOP for these resources.

Write Ways Series to offer 'AI-Assisted Writing' workshops for students

ASAP series to present 'Navigating Common Legal Issues for Students'

The Adult Student Assistance Program (ASAP), designed to help adult learners connect with SUNY Oswego and other students, will present "Navigating Common Legal Issues for Students" at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

This online session will feature Kristin Shanley, an attorney offering free legal services through the SUNY Oswego Student Association. Attendees can get their legal questions answered and learn about the free resources available.

SUNY Oswego students train with Tectonic Theater Project on campus

The SUNY Oswego Theatre Department hosted a transformative experience last weekend when the award-winning Tectonic Theater Project was on campus to share their devising method called Moment Work with students.

The company’s trademark technique has fostered Tectonic’s landmark plays including the 2024 Play Finalist for the Pulitzer Prize "Here There Are Blueberries," and the sentinel play "The Laramie Project," which SUNY Oswego will produce this fall in Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre from Oct. 16 to 20.

Laker Thrive Series for Employees to continue providing healthy activities

The Laker Thrive Series for Employees health and wellness initiative will continue this fall with a series of enriching activities aimed at promoting well-being and fostering community.

All activities are free to all employees and serve as a complement to the many wellness offerings the university provides students. Some events might require registration due to a limited number of spots available due to activity space.

All SUNY Oswego full-time and part-time employees are welcome – including adjunct faculty, Auxiliary Services and Research Foundation employees.

Panopto/Zoom retention policy to feature Sept. 19 run
