Joint Performance Program and Performance Evaluation for Professionals Workshop Nov. 18

The SUNY Oswego Office of Human Resources and Jamie Guilian, labor relations specialist assigned to United University Professions, have teamed up to present a joint workshop on UUP Performance Programs and Performance Evaluations for Professionals from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, in 114 Marano Campus Center.

Self-service test scoring moved to 26 Lanigan, now with required booking

Campus Technology Services (CTS) thanks those whor have adapted to the new self-service model for Scantron test scoring. CTS wants to provide a location reminder and highlight the key requirements for using the service efficiently.

Current test scoring procedure:

Test scoring is available for faculty use at 26 Lanigan Hall during the CTS Help Desk’s normal business hours.

Military Appreciation Hockey Night set Saturday

The campus community is invited to SUNY Oswego’s annual Military Appreciation Hockey Night on Saturday, Nov. 8, to show support for the military and veteran community.

All veterans, service members and their guests will receive free game tickets and are invited to enjoy a complimentary meal and refreshments in Room 114 of Marano Campus Center from 6 to 7 p.m. before the puck drops as the Laker men host Brockport.

University Police holding November fundraiser for Blessings in a Backpack

The campus is invited to join University Police in supporting Blessings in a Backpack – Oswego Chapter throughout November.

This annual fundraiser helps feed children in the local community. Just $175 can provide weekend meals for one child for the entire school year, and every dollar makes a difference.

Throughout November, University Police will host table hours at the Marrano Campus Center. Stop by, make a donation and enter a raffle to win a range of prizes!.

Employee and family free open skate set Thursday

Just bring your SUNY ID for free admission into this event in the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall in Marano Campus Center.

National Cyber Security Awareness Month: Security question end-of-month reminder

As National Cyber Security Month (NCSAM) comes to a close, Campus Technology Services (CTS) would like to remind everyone about updating their account security questions.

CTS is planning to utilize security questions for verification at the Help Desk in the near future. This change will allow the team to more easily and securely verify identities for matters such as password resets.

University to test emergency communications on Nov. 5

SUNY Oswego will conduct a test of its emergency communication systems next week on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m. The timing of the alert is intended to fully test the university’s emergency notification systems during an active time of day and at the beginning of the slate of classes in session.

‘Count Your Blessings’ trivia night to support Blessings in a Backpack

The campus community is invited to put their knowledge to the test and support Oswego County's Blessings in a Backpack for a trivia night from 6:30 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Oswego Elks Lodge, corner of West Fifth and Bridge streets.

Registration is $30 per person, which includes light snacks and a chance to compete for prizes. The evening will also feature a cash bar, 50/50 raffle, silent auction and themed baskets to bid on.
