President Nwosu to host student drop-in meetings today

SUNY Oswego President Peter Nwosu will host the next student drop-in session today -- Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023 -- from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the Rich ‘N’ Pour Cafe in Rich Hall.

All students are encouraged to drop in, say hello to President Nwosu, ask a question or discuss a topic important to you.

Theatre honors society to host Haunted Trail

A Haunted Trail event will take place from 8 p.m. to midnight tonight (Oct. 27), hosted by the SUNY Oswego chapter of Alpha Psi Omega, the Theatre Honors Society.

The event will take place at the Hidden Fields (right outside of The Village).

Health Promotion and Wellness alumni panel happening Thursday

Wellness management major alumni are coming to campus to talk about careers in the field and how to get started during a panel discussion from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, in 315 Park Hall.

Attendees can learn about enhancing skills while connecting with professionals in the alumni community. The alumni will discuss worksite experiences as well as offer helpful job and college tips.

Campus server maintenance scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28

SUNY Oswego Syracuse Campus hosting blood drive today

SUNY Oswego's Syracuse Campus is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive today (Tuesday, Oct. 24) to meet an urgent need for life-giving donations.

The American Red Cross is experiencing a national blood shortage. Donors of all blood types are urgently needed. Appointments are encouraged and appreciated. Walk-ins are welcome to give blood and help save lives.

University to test emergency communications on Oct. 26

SUNY Oswego will conduct a test of its emergency communication systems next week on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023 at approximately 9:40 a.m. The timing of the alert is intended to fully test the university’s emergency notification systems during an active time of day and at the beginning of the 9:35 a.m. slate of classes in session.

Campus to host flu vaccination clinic on Oct. 24

SUNY Oswego, in partnership with Wegmans Pharmacy, will host flu vaccination clinics on Monday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Swetman Gym. A limited amount of COVID vaccine will be available as well. Members of the campus community can reserve their spot and register today.
