Del Sarte to host fall recital this weekend

Del Sarte Dance Club's annual fall recital, "Moves Like Del Sarte," will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, in the Oswego High School Auditorium.

SHOP hosting professional clothing giveaway on Nov. 15

From noon to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, in 133 Marano Campus Center, SHOP (Students Helping Oz Peers) will host a Professional Clothing Giveaway to support students, faculty and staff in need of business attire.

Campus community members are encouraged to stop by between classes or on a break to peruse the clothing typically offered in SHOP. If you see something that you like and that fits, you can feel free to take it.

These items are free of charge, like all of SHOP's services to SUNY Oswego's faculty, staff and students. 

Blackboard to be decommissioned on Dec. 9

Moving closer to the end of the semester also means SUNY Oswego is moving closer to Blackboard being officially decommissioned. On Dec. 9, Blackboard logins will no longer be available to all campus members.

Auditions upcoming for spring production of 'Romeo and Juliet'

Auditions for the the spring semester Theatre Department production of the classic "Romeo and Juliet" will take place on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, with callbacks on Dec. 2.

Audition time slots are 6 to 11 p.m. on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.

Directed by theatre faculty member Steven Mazzoccone, the production seeks actors, singers and dancers for a performance run from April 19 to 23.

Veterans Day Luncheon slated Friday in new Battle Buddy Center location

A Veterans Day Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, will showcase the new home for the Battle Buddy Center -- Room 313 in Sheldon Hall.

All military affiliated students and employees are invited to attend, enjoy food and refreshments, and check out the new location.

Designated by New York State Industries for the Disabled Inc., the Battle Buddy Center at SUNY Oswego serves as a safe haven for veterans to socialize with each other and receive services that are unique to their military backgrounds. 

Applications still open for Disney College Program; info sessions scheduled

Applications are still open for the Disney College Program for spring 2023. Those interested in learning more about the program can attend one of the virtual sessions hosted by Disney.

Late Night at Lee set Nov. 11

Late Night at Lee will take place from 9 to 11 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 in Lee Hall.

Campus Recreation will hand out glow sticks, glow and glitter tattoos, and do neon face paint for anyone who wants extra glow.

Empty Bowls fundraising event to fill plates of those in need

Purchasing handmade bowls will put food on the plates of those in need on campus and in the community through the Oswego Empty Bowls fundraising event from 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, in the Tyler Hall lobby.
