Signups under way for children's swim lessons

SUNY Oswego's Campus Recreation will provide American Red Cross children's swim lessons on six consecutive Saturdays, Oct. 13 to Nov. 17, in the Lee Hall pool on campus.

Taught by certified instructors, the American Red Cross children's swim lessons will include sessions for students in first through sixth grades, and parent and child classes for 4- and 5-year-olds.

The deadline for nominations for the 2019 Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service is fast approaching. Nominations must be received no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2018.

This award recognizes consistently superior professional achievement within and beyond the position. Any member of the campus community may nominate a deserving person presently serving in a full-time professional service capacity whose assignment is more than 50 percent in a professional non-teaching status including:

As many of you may already know, the State University of New York (SUNY) began implementing a policy this year that prohibits asking applicants the question about prior felony convictions on their initial application to a SUNY campus.
