Guided Meditations

Practicing mindfulness in nature is an evidence-based strategy for reducing stress and promoting mental wellbeing. These guided meditations, filmed at Rice Creek Field Station, are a collaborative effort between Rice Creek and the SUNY Oswego Counseling Services Center, led by Cory Brosch and Shane Du Bois. We hope you enjoy them!

SUNY Oswego students, faculty, and staff can view all of the Rice Creek resources from the Counseling Services Center at the Telecounseling Hub.

Flowing Stream Meditation

Cory Brosch, a mental health counselor at Counseling Services, walks you through the Flowing Stream Meditation. This meditation will encourage you to relax and your body to feel settled. Using guided imagery, you will reconnect with yourself, let go of troubling thoughts, and feel the burden of stress ease. This meditation is wonderful to do outdoors on a sunny day, and is just as helpful in the comfort of your own bed!
