Karen Gebbia ('86)

I have had the privilege of working as a Makeup Artist with John Caglione Jr., Josh Turi, Tom Denier Jr. and Gregory Nicotero to continue learning the craft of FX makeup. I have also done many different genres including film, fashion, editorial, mortuary and video. I appreciate all I learned from Kitty Macey and the theater department at SUNY Oswego as it was the starting point to a long career.

I have been an instructor for MUD (Makeup Designory) for 5 years and I am about to open the first makeup & FX only school on Long Island. The New York Academy of Makeup will open its doors this summer.
