Cultivating your web presence
In this workshop, Jack Gelfand and Tim Nekritz will discuss how you can use sites such a Linkedin and your personal university web page to improve your visibility and the visibility of your scholarly programs on the web.
ANGEL Gradebook workshop
Providing direct feedback on student progress is an important tool in supporting learning. In this workshop participants will learn how to build and use a gradebook in ANGEL.
Participants need to bring a syllabus for their course and a laptop (if you don't have a laptop, CELT has two that may be loaned fpr the workshop and the library has some that may be checked out).
Introduction to Prezi
Want to create some interest and interaction to presentations? Tired of using Powerpoint and want an easy-to-use alternative? This session will introduce you to how Prezi can be useful for your students to create presentations, and how Prezi can be useful as a teaching and instructional design tool.

iPad pilot project meeting
This is a monthly meeting of the faculty group participating in the iPad pilot program. Any faculty interested in exploring the use of mobile devices for instructional purposes is encouraged to attend.
Your Research from the Sponsor's Perspective
Jack Gelfand, Linda Cook, and Maria Nakamura will will discuss how agencies and foundations are internally organized and how this dictates the way in which you craft your proposals to them. We will review Broad Agency Announcements and other communications from funders and how to develop perspective about your work in terms of their needs.
Assessment: Clear, Simple, and USEFUL
In the session Barbara will discuss some of the fears around assessment, the national climate surrounding assessment, and then provide some useful recommendations for assessing student learning effectively. It is meant as a crash course for those who did not get the opportunity to attend one of the May workshops.
