Faculty Scholarly and Creative Activity Grant winners announced

The fall 2020 round of the Faculty Scholarly and Creative Activity Grant application/review process has concluded, with three proposals approved for a combined total of more than $5,200 in funding.

Members of the Scholarly and Creative Activity Committee reviewed all the proposals and ultimately approved the following for funding via Provost Scott Furlong:

SUNY, CSEA agree to extend free, mandatory COVID-19 testing of CSEA-represented employees

State University of New York Chancellor Jim Malatras and Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA) President Mary E. Sullivan announced on Friday (Nov. 27) an extension on an agreement to conduct free, mandatory testing for CSEA-represented employees at SUNY state-operated colleges, universities, and hospitals. The memorandum of understanding follows a similar arrangement last week between SUNY and United University Professions (UUP) for represented employees.

SUNY Chancellor and UUP president announce agreement to extend free, mandatory COVID-19 testing

State University of New York Chancellor Jim Malatras and United University Professions (UUP) President Frederick E. Kowal announced on Friday (Nov. 20) an agreement to extend mandatory, free COVID-19 testing for all UUP-represented employees through the end of the spring semester. In September, SUNY reached agreements with UUP, The Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA), the New York State Public Employees Federation (PEF), and the Police Benevolent Association of New York State (PBANYS) to conduct routine testing of all union-represented employees.
