The college’s Fitness Centers aim to help keep the campus community in shape via a series of live outdoor classes that will offer wellness opportunities with appropriate precautions.

College Night to continue at Oswego Farmers Market

The downtown Oswego Farmers Market will once again host a College Night -- on Thursday, Aug. 27 -- to welcome students, albeit with health considerations in place.

A community and college-student favorite, the Oswego Farmers Market unfolds every Thursday on West First Street in Oswego, just south of Route 104/Bridge Street.

Laker Leaders will guide students on the Centro bus to the market, and give guidance on how to ride the bus back. Participants meet at the Marano Campus Center Bus Loop between 5 and 7:30 p.m.

SEFA hosts fall mums sale fundraiser

The State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) Fall Garden Mum Sale is now open, kicking off this year's on-campus fundraising campaign that supports area charities. 

Members of the campus community can purchase big, beautiful 8-inch potted mums from Oliver Paine Greenhouses in colors that include yellow, white, lavender (purple), red (maroon) and bronze (orange).  All proceeds from this popular event support SEFA's 2020-21 campaign.

College's Child Protection Policy: updates to include virtual programs

SUNY Oswego is committed to protecting the safety and well-being of children who participate in college-related programs and activities whether on or off campus. On Sept. 6, 2016, President's Council approved SUNY Oswego's Child Protection Policy. This act was in response to the SUNY Board of Trustees directive for all SUNY campuses to develop a policy on mandatory reporting and prevention of child sexual abuse. The SUNY-wide Child Protection Policy sets protocols and mandates for campuses to follow when SUNY schools have children in its custody, care and/or supervision.

Society for Human Resources Management student chapter earns recognition

The National SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) awarded a 2019-20 Merit Award to the SUNY Oswego SHRM student chapter for providing superior growth and development opportunities to its student members.
