Penfield Library hosting Research Party on March 3

Students are invited to attend a Research Party at Penfield Library from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, in 215 Penfield.

All students are welcome to come for pizza and snacks and to get help with their research. Librarians and peer Writing Center tutors will be on hand to help with finding scholarly sources, formatting citations, writing and more. No appointment is necessary.

Cooper Fitness Center will host its annual Group Exercise Marathon on Saturday, March 7.

Discover Wellness to offer session on nutrition

Nutrition labels can be confusing, but the latest presentation in the Discover Wellness series seeks to answer the question: How do we know what to eat?

This session, from 12:10 to 12:50 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, in 112 Wilber Hall, will address how to read and apply the information on nutrition labels to everyday life. This free event is open to employees of SUNY Oswego.

College to test emergency communications Wednesday

SUNY Oswego will conduct a simultaneous test of the college's emergency communication systems tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020.

At approximately 11:45 a.m. this coming Wednesday, the college will send messages via NY-Alert, the college website, campus phones including classroom and conference phones, teaching station computers, emergency broadcast system outdoor speakers, and digital signage.

Harlan Cohen to present 'Getting Comfortable with the Uncomfortable' tonight

Registration open for SUNY Oswego's popular summer STEAM camps

Registration is now open for SUNY Oswego's popular summer STEAM camps.

The Division of Extended Learning offers summer camps for children ages 7 to 14. The four-day STEAM Quest Camps in July, hosted in neighborhood schools throughout Oswego County, encourage students to discover and explore topics in science, technology, engineering, art and math.

Topics will include coding, 3-D printing, robotics, virtual reality, circuitry and more.

Applications for New Student Orientation positions extended

The application deadline to apply to work with the Office of New Student Orientation has been extended. Interested students now have until 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, to take advantage of this paid opportunity to become a Laker Leader or Program Assistant for summer 2020.
