Rich ‘N’ Pour student-run cafe, WTOP collaborate on new offering

The student-run Rich ‘N’ Pour cafe and WTOP-10 TV are teaming up to brew up a new buzzworthy drink.

The campus is invited to check out the newsworthy brown sugar buzz latte with rich brown sugar, caramel and shortbread with creamy milk and bold espresso, the cafe team said. The drink, topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle, is available through this week at the cafe in Rich Hall.

Farewell Reception for Dr. Mary C. Toale scheduled Tuesday

The campus will hold a Farewell Reception for Dr. Mary Toale from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, in 114 Marano Campus Center to recognize the longtime leader as she prepares to depart SUNY Oswego to join SUNY Geneseo as its provost and vice president for academic affairs.

Late Night Study Break coming to Marano Campus Center

Late Night Study Break will be taking over Marano Campus Center again this Friday, March 1, from 8 to 10 p.m.

The campus is invited to night of activities, crafts and fun. Everything is free, including food.

The SUNY Oswego chapter of PRSSA will host an informative, interactive social media workshop from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 29, in 208 Marano Campus Center.

The event is free and open to the campus community.

Library to host Faculty Research Exchange tomorrow

Penfield Library and Faculty Research Council have teamed up to host a Faculty Research Exchange at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29, in Penfield 215.

Winter Wear giveaway scheduled today

SHOP (Students Helping Oz Peers), the campus food and clothing pantry. will host a Winter Wear giveaway event from noon to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, on the Marano Campus Center Concourse, over the food and activity court.

Coats, hats, gloves and scarves will be available for free.

The university's State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) Committee helped with the collection.

Narcan training to be offered March 6

All students are invited to attend Narcan training on Wednesday, March 6, on Zoom from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

This training is presented by a New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports opioid overdose training specialist. It is specially designed for SUNY Oswego students.

Google announces visual change to login page

February 23, 2024

Google will be changing the appearance of the login page used for accessing SUNY Oswego’s LakerApps suite of apps including Gmail. While Google does not specify an exact date when SUNY Oswego will see this change, it will be rolled out sometime this week with the latest date being March 4.

To alert users, Google started posting a message at the top of the current login page announcing that a new more modern look and feel is coming soon. 

Banner maintenance happening this weekend

On Sunday, Feb. 25, from 6:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., Campus Technology Services (CTS) will perform maintenance affecting access to the Banner application. Banner and links to Banner in myOswego will be intermittently unavailable during this time.
