HPW Alumni Panel Discussion slated Nov. 7

The Health Promotion and Wellness Department announced the upcoming HPW Alumni Panel Discussion, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 7, where wellness management graduates will share their work-site experiences, career tips and advice on navigating the field.

The event is hybrid, taking place in 315 Park Hall or via Zoom (Meeting ID: 996 9410 9319).

October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM), which is dedicated to raising awareness about staying safe online. This year, SUNY Oswego is continuing to take a proactive approach by launching initiatives to enhance cybersecurity across campus. These initiatives include educational campaigns on various cybersecurity topics, tools to help protect your SUNY Oswego account, and an engaging phishing identification contest to test and improve your online safety skills.

Women In Entertainment hosting clothing sale

The Women In Entertainment student organization is hosting its first-ever clothing drive open to all students and faculty at SUNY Oswego on Oct. 23.

The sale will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. in 114 Marano Campus Center. 

The organization's overall goal is to create a network and support system for female students who hope to work in the entertainment industry.

National Cybersecurity Awareness Month: Impersonation and job scams

CTS wants to alert you to a growing concern on campus: job scams and impersonation attempts. Malicious actors often use these tactics to gain personal information or access to campus resources.

'Access: A quest toward inclusion' pilot course registration available

Members of the campus are invited to participate in the second pilot of our asynchronous course, “Access: A quest toward inclusion” from Oct. 28 to Dec. 8. Use this link to register.

Free Naloxone training for students, faculty and staff

Free Naloxone training for students, faculty and staff will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct.  22, in 256 Marano Campus Center.

Learn how to save a life by attending this free Naloxone training session. In just one hour, you will gain the knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose. At the end of the training, participants will receive a free Naloxone kit. No prior experience is needed, and everyone is welcome.

SUNY Chancellor's Awards and Distinguished Faculty Selection Committee vote

Nominations have been received for the open seats on the 2024-25 SUNY Chancellor's Awards and Distinguished Faculty Selection Committee. Voting on the nominees for these seats will be done via Google Forms. Although the number of nominees within each category is low, a vote for these positions still must be held. Please submit your votes by 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 31.
