The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America announced that the Oswego men's and women's swimming and diving teams both earned the distinction of being named a Scholar All-America Team for the spring 2025 semester. 

In all, the association selected 763 teams from 432 institutions as Scholar All-America Teams for the semester. These teams, comprising 18,459 student-athletes, were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements.

Below are the deadlines and descriptions for Scholarly and Creative Activities-related internal funding opportunities this semester.

SUNY Oswego Career Services and SHOP (Students Helping Oz Peers) are excited to announce the grand opening on Tuesday, Sept. 2, of a professional clothing pop-up boutique inside the Career Studio in the Compass Resource Center, 145 Marano Campus Center.

The launch event, from 11 a.m. to noon on Sept. 2, showcases this collaborative initiative, bringing a curated selection of free professional attire to help students feel confident and prepared for their next opportunity.

SUNY Oswego, in partnership with Wegmans Pharmacy, will host several flu vaccination clinics in Swetman Gym on the following dates:

• Thursday, Sept. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Registration is now open)
• Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Registration opens on Sept. 10)
• Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Registration opens on Sept. 30)

The Oswego Fall Poster Symposium will take place on Friday, Sept 12, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Shineman Atrium and the corridor connecting it to Park Hall.

The campus community is invited to attend to learn more about scholarly and creative work taking place on our campus.

All faculty and students are welcome to present their scholarly and creative work. Free poster printing will be available until Sept 2.

The Advisement Center, located in 151 Marano Campus Center, welcomes new and returning students for the fall 2025 semester. All students are welcome to visit the Advisement Center for help and support in making class schedule changes or for consultation on courses.

The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) recognized varsity ice hockey players who compiled exceptional results in the classroom during the 2024-25 season with the announcement of the ninth annual "Krampade All-American Scholars," -- which included 14 Lakers.

To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester and have appeared in 40 percent of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders. Schools were also required to be members of the AHCA.

Even as a new semester begins, undergraduate students who will be graduating as of May 2026 and who have not yet filed online to graduate should do so as soon as possible.  

As a reminder, the retention policy for cloud storage with Panopto and Zoom will be completed Friday, Sept. 19. The policy is run annually on this day. The retention policy will do the following:
