On-campus Children's Center earns national accreditation

The Children’s Center of Oswego, located on the SUNY Oswego campus, recently earned its National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation.

The program was recognized among the top in the nation by earning this accreditation from the world's largest organization working on behalf of young children.

The inaugural Flags of Meaning exploration event will discuss the Pride Flag at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, in 114 Marano Campus Center (next to the Hearth Lounge).

Organizers described the event as "the first in a series to explore flags and banners, what they tell the world about us, what they tell us about ourselves, and how they inspire, unite or divide us."

The annul Pink the Rink women’s hockey game will see the Lakers host the London Devilettes from Ontario at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, at  6 p.m. 

SEFA promotes multiple events during October

The campus State Employees Federated Appeal (SEFA) will sponsor multiple events for the month of October, in the interest of the campus and community. 

SEFA will promote such activities as the Pink the Rink women’s hockey game, Pink Day and their annual bake sale. 

The Pink the Rink women’s hockey game vs. the London Devilettes will take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday Oct. 15, in the Deborah F. Stanley Arena and Convocation Hall as a way to promote breast cancer awareness through athletics.
