Sustainable Development Goals online conference open to campus

SUNY Oswego is a member of United Nations Academic Impact, and members of the campus community are invited to take part in the online conference Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Action Zone, running Sept. 21 to 23.  The SDGs are 17 goals that every country agreed to work toward over a 15-year period.  Free registration is available at the link above by clicking "enter the zone."  

Help wanted: Admissions student tour guides for paid position

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is hiring current SUNY Oswego students for paid tour guide positions. 

The office works with students throughout the process and offers flexible hours. Tour guides have an opportunity to get to know the historic campus, and can use the experience as a starting point for many other leadership roles on at SUNY Oswego.

This role includes a short and compensated training period.

Oz Inclusivity Playbook invites involvement

'Friday Social' for faculty and staff set for Sept. 23

SUNY Oswego Officer in Charge Mary Toale will host an inaugural "Friday Social" for faculty and staff from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 23 in The Space, Marano Campus Center.

The event will be a fun, informal get together with colleagues featuring games and refreshments. Activities such as cornhole, Kan Jam, spike ball, ladder golf and giant Jenga will be available.

EAP hosting flu vaccination clinic for employees

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is sponsoring an on campus flu vaccination clinic hosted by Kinney Drugs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the Marano Campus Center Concourse (where it overlooks the food court) for employees.

Register in advance by RSVPing by Sept. 30 to cathy.johnston@oswego.edu that you would like a flu shot, and you will receive a link with sign-up times. You can then self-select a time.

Constitution Day event planned

Members of the campus community can learn more about the country's founding document during Constitution Day activities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, on the Marano Campus Center concourse.

The table will host "Constitution Jeopardy," a mini-gameshow which will dive a little more into specific Constitutional rights and amendments. The Friday event previews the 235th anniversary of the United States Constitution, which was signed on Sept. 17, 1787.
