The third of four candidates for the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), Dr. Claire Allison Fuller, will be available today (Wednesday, Jan. 30)  for a Faculty, Staff and Student Open Forum, to be held from 3 to 3:45 p.m., in 133 Marano Campus Center.

New LakerPrint services available

At the conclusion of the Fall 2018 semester, CTS started advertising the new student print system called LakerPrint. It has been used in Penfield Library and Shineman (Beaker and Bunsen) over winter break, and is now available in all locations for the Spring 2019 semester.  
To use LakerPrint, please note the following:

    Office hours set for Blackboard Learn

    Faculty looking for support on the Blackboard Learn platform can take advantage of office hours that are scheduled every two weeks, starting this week.

    These open hours, in 26 Lanigan Hall and 151 Marano Campus Center, are:

    • Wednesdays: 10 to 11:15 a.m. and 1:45 to 3 p.m.
    • Thursdays: 9:30 to 11 a.m. and 12:45 to 2 p.m.

    RSVP earns Excellus Community Health Award

    RSVP of Oswego County, a division of SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations, recently earned an Excellus BlueCross BlueShield Community Health Award.

    The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program was one of seven winners among 30 community nonprofits applying for the 2019 honor. 

    State fire inspector to review campus facilities

    January 23, 2019

    Beginning Feb. 4 and continuing through March 8, the New York state fire inspector from the Office of Fire Prevention and Control (OFPC) will inspect all campus facilities.

    OFPC inspects every building on the SUNY Oswego campus annually. All rooms are subject to inspection, though as a practical matter not all will be.

    Nominations open for Outstanding Senior Award

    The Oswego Alumni Association is now accepting nominations for the 2019 Outstanding Senior Award. This honor recognizes a senior student who has excelled in involvement on campus and academic excellence during his or her time at SUNY Oswego.

    The award recipient will be recognized at the Commencement Eve Dinner on Friday, May 17. 

    All students graduating in 2019 -- including this May, August and December -- are eligible to be nominated for this year’s award.

    Writing Center has new location

    The Writing Center will be temporarily located in 168 Marano Campus Center for the spring 2019 semester.

    Part of the Office of Learning Services, the center provides writing assistance for students across the disciplines. Tutors are committed to help students throughout the various stages of the writing process, including understanding writing assignments, getting started on papers by brainstorming and outlining, and revising drafts.
