The Shineman Center greenhouse has established its Fall 2023 open hours.

In addition to the hours below, visits also can be scheduled for individuals and classes. Visitors are asked to knock if someone is working but the door isn’t open.

The university invites members of the campus community to an open forum with the fourth candidate for the Vice President for Communication and Marketing position on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 1:30 p.m. in 201 Marano Campus Center.

Campus Technology Services (CTS) continues to enhance data security by adding multi-factor authentication (MFA) as a second layer of authentication to many digital services. MFA requires the use of your normal password along with a code sent to an app or phone.

The newest application to require MFA includes Handshake used for publicizing and applying for student jobs. MFA will be turned on for Handshake on Monday, Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. Please note, MFA for Handshake will work similar to services already using MFA including Brightspace and myOswego.

The popular KidsTech program returns this fall with registration now open for the STEM 4 Kids (kindergarten through grade 3) and Young Inventors for grades 4 through 6.

Campus Technology Services will implement a new retention policy for cloud storage with the Panopto video service, which goes fully into effect next week. The new retention policy will be as follows:

• Archive all content not viewed within the last two years
• Removal of all content not viewed within the last three years

While archived content is still in Panopto, you must request that it be restored, which can take up to 48 hours.

Each year, SUNY Oswego nominates 1 to 5 exemplary individuals to SUNY for consideration of receiving a SUNY honorary doctorate degree. SUNY Oswego typically presentes SUNY honorary degree awards to recipients at its Commencement ceremonies and asks the recipients to serve as the ceremony's Commencement speaker.

On behalf of the search committee for the Affirmative Action Officer-Deputy Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer position, faculty, staff and students are invited to attend a campus presentation from the candidate at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12, in 201 Marano Campus Center. You can also attend Tuesday's Open Forum via Zoom.

The Adult Student Assistance Program (ASAP) will sponsor an online session tonight (Tuesday, Sept. 12) at 7 p.m. for those looking to improve their likelihood of earning a good grades.
